There are two general ingredients found in many acne treatment products. Benzyl peroxide kills the bacteria that causes acne; however, it often irritates sensitive skin and cause overall dryness. Salicylic acid removes the dirt and oil that clogs pores and destroys acne-causing bacteria. It is easier on the skin and does aid in collagen production.
