September 10, 2010, Newsletter Issue #195: Most Skin Damage Comes From Sun Exposure

Tip of the Week

At least 90% of all changes in skin care are due to sunlight exposure. The sun not only damages that DNA of skin cells, but also inhibits the ability to repair skin.

A wrinkle is the result of such damage and to reduce wrinkle problems is a difficult task. Many topical solutions take longer to work than surgery. However, these creams, oils, lotions and ointments also hydrate the skin, leaving it looking brighter and feeling smoother, with fewer wrinkles. Any anti aging product you use, include those you use to reduce wrinkle and lined areas, should have sunscreen to prevent any further sun damage to your skin.
